jafsoft
Bio: JafSoft Limited are a UK-based company that was founded in 1999 and offers a number of text conversion products. Almost all of their products are available in API form, and the core code has been built under a variety of OS's - although sometimes this is achieved through source code licensing. Their first product AscToHTM converted plain text into HTML using an advanced text analysis engine they developed to detect structured elements such as tables. This same engine was used in the later AscToRTF and AscToPDF products.
As a result of developing AscToHTM, JafSoft later developed Detagger in response to user feedback. Detagger is a dual-purpose utility that can convert HTML into good looking text, or selectively remove markup from HTML files. It also has some data extraction abilities (e.g. tables to CSV format).
