The jYMSG API provides a way for Java applications to connect and use the Yahoo Instant Messenger protocol, version 10 (YMSG-10) in a reasonably coder friendly and abstract way. Although methods the API exposes are clearly matched to Yahoo IM features, the API attempts to hide as much of the nitty-gritty as possible.

A new API allows developers to pull data from ZocDoc such as doctor and dentist information, practice locations, pictures, URLs and available appointment times, which can be integrated into custom mashups and applications. ZocDoc offers a contest to create new applications that help patient’s book doctor appointments via the web (users have requested integrations through Facebook and iPhones, among others).
